Black Cat, 2011, Classic Animation (2.41 min)

This animation film is based on a recorded interview with Moshe Amoyal, who was born in Musrara and was an activist in the ‘Black Panthers’ movement. The film recounts the experiences of Amoyal during his formative years, the hard life conditions in the neighborhood, playing children’s games in a no man’s land, up until his first arrest.

Production and artistic management: Avi Sabag and Avi Dabach Animation design: Liav Tsabari

The film is part of Musrara Collection 2011. It was first shown in the exhibition: “Childhood in a No Man’s Land” in the Social Gallery of the Naggar school. The film won first place in the competition for development of a script for a feature film in the Jerusalem International Film Festival in 2012.
